Hi Experts,

My source db is 11g r2 and target db is 10g r2.
I want to perform simple one-way table level replication.
Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Qazi

Sure, no problem. That is actually the way to do a (near) zero downtime upgrade.

have a go, it can be quite simple.

Why Streams and not a materialized view?

Materialized View replication is certainly easier. And included in Standard Edition.

Hi Experts,

I performed simple one-way replication by following this document:

https://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28322/repsimpdemo.htm

Every thing work fine according to document. But changes are not going to target database.

Kindly help me to find where to locate the issue.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Qazi

What did you do?

One more point: you are following 11.1 doc. In your previous post (with which I shall merge this topic) you said you were using 11.2 and 10.2. You really should use whichever doc is appropriate for the version.

Oh, right. the 11.2 docs,
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/nav/portal_booklist.htm

What did you do? If it is still just one table, a materialized vie would be easiest. If more complex, look at using dbms_streams_adm.maintain_tables
