hi i had oracle9i installed in windows OS.I installed linux OS as well.and I guess disc D was fragmented .Now i cant conn to sql as scott user or sysdba.It says 'sqlplus' is not recognised as an internal or external operable programe or batch file. nor I can access consol or DBCA.
Please help

You need to set your ORACLE_HOME environment variable.
also include $ORACLE_HOME/bin in your PATH.
Just search this forum. THere are many examples.

What does not being able to connect to oracle have to do with a second installation of oracle on a different operating systems? Were you able to connect to first one before the second installation? That's what you haphazard post sounds like.

in linux or unix.
you need to set your os environment variables in your oracle account initialize profile(.profile or .bash_profile).
for example:
PATH
ORACLE_SID
ORACLE_HOME
ORACLE_BASE
NLS_LANG
