Hi all,

My client is planning to migrate 9.2.0.1 on SUSE to 10.2.0.1 on Windows 2003. They would like to know if they have to upgrade the 9.2.0.1 to the latest version and then import the data into 10gR2 on windows 2003.

I am just wondering if the upgrade of the current database 9.2.0.1 to the latest version is necessary for the migration. Since the data is going to be imported into 10gR2, I am thinking it is not required to upgrade 9.2.0.1 to the latest 9i.

Please give me your suggestions.

Thank you.

If you use exp/imp way to migrate there is no need to first upgrade the source database.
